Wow, me as an expat is someone who chooses to live in a foreign country, for a specific purpose, while retaining my citizenship in my home country.

My purpose is kind of complex. I am an older American, long time computer programmer (45 years) who generally tries to get out of the road, when I see a bus coming.

As my financial situation started to change and I saw evil heading to take over my country, I started examining databases for another spot to go to hang out until the pendulum of life started to swing back to something tolerable.

I examined places I’d been, and new places that promoted themselves to Expats, Digital Nomads, Tourists and the like. I tried to take into account the things that would Impact me.
